Be prepared before you leave and do extra research. Cruise ports are often a long journey to the actual place you want to visit. Bangkok for instance is a 2/3 hr journey from the port. Rome is at least 1 hr away from the port of Civitavecchia. Do your checking ask questions and you won’t be disappointed when you get there
